Are we real?- The Simulation theory

Are we real? Sounds weird and useless, right? But, hear me out. The idea of us being a simulation, created by quantum computers, computers made by some God-level aliens isn’t new.

The idea or theory dates back to 380 BC, stated by none other than Plato. He was amongst the first who believed that ‘ Reality ‘ is nothing but simulation.

According to Plato, people are imprisoned since childhood (but not since birth). They are forced to believe that artificial light-based representations of reality were truly real when, in fact, they were just fabricated illusion.

There are a lot of variations to the Simulation Theory or the Simulation Hypothesis. The modern Simulation theory states that – “We’re actually living in an advanced digital reality, such as a computer simulation, that’s overseen by some higher form of intelligence, probably of higher dimensions”. And yes, it has been also proved that simulation can gain consciousness. Many of you, might think this is useless and stuff read by only Philosophers. But, lately not only Philosophers but also Physicists have shown interest to this theory and added their own variations.

There is a form of the Simulation Theory that sounds most accurate as it goes on to prove itself via scientific proofs. This is because this version of Simulation Theory includes Black Holes. It is believed that the entire observable universe is infact inside a super massive black hole. Yeah, yeah, sounds weird, but hear me out first.

The theory states that we and everything around us are inside a black hole. A black hole so massive that it has completely consumes everything in the observable universe. It also says that everything inside it is just information including us. As we know, Black Holes devour anything in their way, but there are rules that even this monsters have to follow. They cannot delete our information from the universe. Anything or anyone might get destroyed or killed but their information doesn’t gets destroyed.

Thus, it is believed that we and everything around us is information printed on the walls of the event horizon of a mega gargantuan Black Hole. Yes yes, I know we are 3d, how can we be 2d info? The theory also states that we are 2d info but we view everything else and ourselves as 3d because we are all imprinted on the walls of the Black Hole. But to an outsider; Yes! outsider. To anyone who is not inside our Mega Black Hole, will see us(if possible) and everything around us as 2d info represented as 3d. This can be understood by the commonly known term ‘HOLOGRAM’. Holograms are projectors which represent 2d images as 3D.

I guess you’ve got a clear idea of what I am saying. That is, we might be just a computer simulation run by God like beings with quantum computers or just 2d info inside a super mega Black Hole. Feeling the existential crisis??

Well well! There’s no need to worry or get sad. As it might not be true and even if it is true, not that we can do anything about it.
